Laser Troubleshooting

This is a collection of common problems you may encounter when using the Laser and solutions for them. If you don't find your problem here, please add it! If you can also provide the solution, that's even better!

Communications error or time-out

The labtop computer has problems communicating with the laser cutter.

• unplug the blue USB cable from the labtop and re-insert
• try again

Soft Stop

Your print file is either positioned so that the laser head runs off the edge or it is bigger then the cutting area.

• check size of the print job
• re-position the head so the whole job fits on the bed
